Lucy McCririck is from a farming background in the Scottish Borders. Her work is predominantly pen and watercolour with a smattering of gold ink for fun. It's targeted at children because they get the most pleasure from the little playful details she adds to her illustrations. Lucy likes cows, chickens, Edinburgh buildings, L.S. Lowry, climbing mountains and the Scots language.
